Being a CAISH member entails:

  • Being granted priority consideration for our office space, where you can meet and co-work with other members on AI safety.

  • Opportunities to connect with our network of past members and affiliates, who are working at the UK AI Safety Institute (AISI), DeepMind, GovAI, Apollo Research, CHAI, Redwood, MATS and more. In the past, this has included Professor David Krueger (University of Cambridge), Neel Nanda (DeepMind), Marius Hobbhahn (Apollo Research), Alan Chan (GovAI), and many more.

  • Priority invitation to our retreats: an intensive weekend of networking and research discussion among CAISH and Oxford AI Safety members and , with invited speakers from academia and industry.

  • Priority invitation for our formals: an intensive evening of networking and socializing with other AI Safety professionals in the area

  • Joining a community of undergraduates, graduate students and professionals driven to reduce risks from advanced AI.

  • Priority application consideration for our research assistantships, machine learning bootcamps, and other CAISH events.

Note: Applicants are expected to demonstrate good knowledge of AI safety, for example by having completed our Intro fellowship.
